Jacqueline Barnwell-Williams


Jacqueline is a current Florida State Department of Education certified teacher with an ESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement. She also holds a permanent New York State Teacher's Certification in Exceptional Student Education. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Science Degree in Special Education (Children born with Retarded Mental and Developmental Challenges) from Brooklyn College, City University of New York where she remains an active alumni.

In order to assist the community in New York City where she formerly resided, she owned and managed JALM Pre-School Services until her relocation to Florida. She has consulted with several Early Childhood Education agencies where she worked as a Special Educator, an evaluator of Early Intervention Services, a Family Therapist for parents of children born with challenges, and she served as a respresentative of the various agencies at the state and local levels. She was also a presenter on peer forums.

Ms. Williams, as she prefers to be called, is a member of several professional organizations including the National Association For The Education of Young Children. She is an ardent member of the Early Learning Coalition of Lake County Board where she continues to advocate strongly for young children.

Ms. Williams looks forward to having you in class this semester.
